Who can see my cards?
Your collection is private to your account. It is not public or visible to other Reanthesis users.
Trust / the plain version
Your collection is private by default. Reanthesis does not sell your study content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Another AI can reach your collection only after you approve it.
01 / What matters first
Start with the practical boundaries. The implementation details are farther down if you want them.
Your collection is private to your account. It is not public or visible to other Reanthesis users.
Not as a routine matter. Access is limited to running the service, debugging a problem, or helping with a support request.
Only limited context for a feature you invoke, or study content within the connection you explicitly approve.
Yes. An earned .apkg export remains available after membership ends, with notes, images, and study history.
You own your study content. Read the exact language in our Terms and Privacy policy.
02 / Your AI, your connection
Connected AI uses the open-source Reanthesis connector. Connecting opens a clear approval screen. You never give your Reanthesis password to the AI provider, and you can revoke the connection.
03 / Two ways AI appears
After OAuth approval, the Reanthesis MCP connector lets your selected provider make cards, organize material, wake a topic, and work with media inside the boundaries above. You still grade every review.
Read the connector docsDescribe sends a short statement plus limited card fronts, tags, and deck labels to an AI service provider. It proposes a card; it never writes one automatically. You decide what to keep.
Separate from the connector · no standing permission04 / Security by construction
These are current implementation facts, not certification badges. The plain version comes first.
Passwords are hashed rather than stored as readable text. Sessions expire and are rotated.
AI connections have a narrow scope, expire automatically, and can be revoked.
Study data is stored encrypted at rest in private US AWS infrastructure. Public traffic uses HTTPS.
Every image read checks account ownership first, then returns a link that expires quickly.
Passwords are hashed, sessions expire and rotate, public traffic uses HTTPS, and stored images are private. Connector approval uses PKCE, and connection permissions default to deny.
05 / Import without surrender
Connect to Anki is local and permission-gated. It is read-only, uses AnkiConnect on your machine, and never asks for an AnkiWeb password. An .apkg upload is another path for notes, media, tags, and study history.
Choose
Use Anki’s own permission dialog.
Move
Bring the collection and history; Anki is untouched.
Expire
Temporary import staging expires within seven days.
Your cards, images, tags, and study history come with you. Anki stays untouched.
06 / Keep control
A paid membership earns an export with your notes, images, and study history. That .apkg remains available after membership ends. If you delete your account, Reanthesis removes database content and attempts immediate media cleanup; staged files still follow their seven-day expiry.
Reanthesis is for personal study. Do not store patient records or other sensitive clinical data in your cards.

08 / Straight answers
No. Reanthesis does not sell study content, run ads against it, or use it to train a model. Describe sends only its limited prompt context to an AI service provider when you invoke it.
No. Study data is encrypted at rest and public traffic uses HTTPS, but Reanthesis is not end-to-end encrypted. The service needs to process your collection to sync it, schedule reviews, and run features you request. Do not use Reanthesis for patient records or other sensitive clinical data.
It can read your email and basic study profile, along with cards, decks, tags, and stats. It cannot change billing, membership, account settings, imports, exports, or submit reviews.
No advertising trackers or third-party analytics are used on the marketing site or in the product.
